Chekia Shetland Sheepdogs
Our Shelties
You're listening to
"A Yowe Cam To Wir Door"
(Shetland Folksong)
Chekia Sno-Isle Shasta

I Love the Shetland Sheepdog,
So Regal, and so Bright.
The "Toonie Dog" of olden times
Still guards my sleep each night.
And every morning, early,
That happy little face
Is there to give me gentle licks,
And beg a warm embrace!

I Love the Sheltie "Bounce Dance",
The "Come On, Let's Go!" bark!
The strong, brave little soldier
Woofing fiercely at the dark!
I Love their crowning glory;
The coat a Sheltie wears;
Dripping thick in Gold or Silver,
Or elegant Black layers!

One Sheltie I dearly Love
Does not quite fit the mold.
She's neither Black nor Silver,
Nor Mahogony to Gold;
For she's a special Sheltie
Who's earned a special right;
To wear her color on her head,
Her body glistening White!
