Trust was one of those puppies that was just born
with a "presence" that said "Hey, look at me! I'm special!" and truly, he is.
A tri colour rough, he has little obvious resemblence to either his blue smooth sire, Japheth, or his sable rough mom, Lassey, and yet he has a personality that captures the best of
each of them. With Japheth's keen sense of discernment, and Lassey's joyous lust for life, all wrapped up in that big shiny black coat, a second look will tell you that he is as sound as stone and comes by it honestly from both sides. Trust is
also a dog who always has his eye on me. When he catches my eye with his, he smiles, mugs, and adds a little "dance" to his step that says,
"Yeah, I'll show off for you!"
Trust had a great time in Obedience class and mastered all of the skills easily. Thanks to his mom, he was usually found doing his "homework" just minutes before class, but being the bright boy he is, he really didn't need more. Much like his grandfather, Hunnibare, he had a tendency to get bored in school, and took the opportunity to add his own variations to the program, coming away with a much larger vocabulary than what the cirriculum actually covered. It was just like him.
With a penchant for speed and agility, Trust has
mastered the art of the broad jump by effortlessly
leaping over four Eskies in a single bound; the high jump in one easy move from the floor to the center of the king sized bed, and the race to the end of the property, coming back to meet the competition half way and accompany them to the fence. He typically slows down at about nine PM, and that's HIS time for cuddling, polishing his little white paws, and making sure my eyes are on him, exclusively!
